Man Cited After WreckJames Burrell Roland, 46. of Bluefield, was cited by Beckley state police for failure to maintain control of his vehicle following a traffic accident Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on Secondary Route 29 at Liilybrook, near its intersection with Fireco Road.Police said Roland apparently lost control of his vehicle in a curve, crossed the center line into the path of a car driven by DennisW. Bash. 17. of Sullivan. Police estimated damages at $100 to the 1968 model Roland vehicle and $500 to the 1975 model Bash vehicle.. Police cited Johnny Adkins, 27, of Cleveland, Ohio, for improper passing after an accident at 11:15 a.m. Saturday on W.Va. 3 at Surveyor near the Lake Stephens Road.Police said Judy Lynn Blake. 21, of Oak Hill wasattempting to make a left hand turn onto a wide berm. Adkins apparently did not see that she making the turn and tried to pass on the left, striking the car on the left rear, police said.Police said the area where the accident happened was not marked for passing. Damages were estimated at $300 to the 1976 Blake vehicle and at $350 to Adkins’ 1975 model motorcycle.
