On Sunday night, of this week, a i- band of men who aore white caps ‘ and had their faces blackened, visited the old house south of town, occupied by Jasper Montgomery, whose family had been making themselves obnoxious by the bummer boarders they were keeping-transient custom, as it were—and after ordering the family out, which order was obeyed, they carried out the furniture and proceeded to demolish the building in the ancient and approved style of night raiders. .Montgomery and family left for other parts.
