Sheriff Turner, who went to Cedar Lake’lastSunday accompanied by Mrs. Turner, succeeded in running in one of the “shell-racket-men” who work upon the gullible Hoosiers in that section, He was brought to town and placed in jail, and on Monday morning plead guilty before Squire Cleveland upon iwo counts. He was fined and costed $25 upon each count, making the total fine and cost about $75. He is still in jail.
