Inmate chargedAiMARILLO iAP) A 19-year-old death row minate was charged with capital murder Wednesday in the rape slaying of an Amarillo woman, authorities said.The charge alleges Jay Kelly Pinkerton killed 25-year-old Sherry Lynn Welch in the course of an attempted aggravated rape, said Justice of the Peace Roy Byrd.
