Captain Xootbaar contends, the place can be closed.Bloom would not admit that his sudden return had anything to do with the newest outbreak in the cankerous levee.“My vacation was up and I came back, that’s all there is to it.” was his only answer to questions.Gleason Promises Aid.Thief of Police Gleason sent a letter to State's Attorney Hoyne in reply to one received by blm Tuesday from the prosecutor, who asked for all statements made by witnesses of the shooting.The chief, who assured the State's Attorney that he could have any and all statements whenever he desired them, said his letter was merely a matter of form. He also assured Mr. Hoyne that the police department welcomed his cooperation in a Case of this kind and desired to co-operate with him.
