D., well known South Dakota politician was ar rested yesterday on a federal indictment charging him with embezzlement of between $300 and $400 from the government while serving as a deputy collector of internal revenue, it was announced at the United States----- --——15Houlihan was released at Aberdeen on $1,000 bond. The indictment against Houlihan vras returned by the federal grand jury last May at Aberdeen. It is expected that the case will be tried at the Aberdeen term of court j next winter. Houlihan was a candi- | date for state chairman on the fusion 1 f'democratic-Farmer-L#abor ticket inthe primaries and has served as a democratic chairman * of Codington { county. In the primary campaign he j b was the principal leader of the group j a seeking to defeat the indorsement of William G. McAdoo for presidential nomination. At Mitchell, S. D., last Saturday he, together with R.
