An Abortion Case.—A postanimation of the body of* yoT^ ^ ^the name of Mollio Keeshan was held at the Catholic graveyard yesterday evening bv Drs Thompson and Arnaud. Miss Kcesban resided at Keelsville, and was engaged there' in teaching school. A few days ago she came to this city on a visit to her friends, and after her arrival here was taken seriously ill. On Wednesday last she died, and was buried yesterday. The circumstances of the illness, and the visits of a young physician named Dr. Hinton, who resided at Reelsville, and who ad-mniistered medicine to the young lady, caused her friends to suspect that there was something wrong, and accordingly the examination of the body was made yesterday evening. It was definitely ascertained that an abortion had been produced. A coroner’s jury was impanneled, but the verdict of that body had not been made known up to the hour of going to press. Another meeting of the jury will bo held at the Mayor’s office this evening. We | are informed that the evidences of an abortion having been produced are conclusive. A warrant was issued last night for the a/rest of Dr. Hinton, who was in the city to-day, but if he was arrested, we did not learn it. The lady whoso death was thus brought about, it is said, was about 20 years of age, and quite handsome. Dr. Ilinton had been waiting on the young lady, and it ia supposed had won her affections and confidence. It is indeed a sad case, and hoped that the guilty party may be arrested and punished as his crime may deserve. The ofliccrs are after Hinton to-day, and will 110 doubt arrest him before long.Later.—Since the above was put in type, we are informed that Hinton was arrested by Marshal Whiteman. It is probable that a preliminary examination will take place to-night or to-morrow. He was arrested on tho chargo of murder in the second degree. Tho preliminary examination will be had before one of tho Justices of the Peace, perhaps.Swindled s.—A letter has been handed us which was picked up from the street coming from Win. J.
