WkGeorge Mickey Bound Over to tnc Grand Jury on Charge of Wife Desertion—Charge Against Mrs. Bertha Craig Withdrawn.liiless George Mickey, the well known base ball player, imitates other habitues of the county bastile and makes a home run he will have to stay in jail until bonds of $200 are forthcoming. The young couple, Mr. Mickey and Mrs. Bertha Craig, who were supposed to have left town together and for whose arrests warrants had been issued, meandered into town Tuesday evening. Mickey drove his horse into Goo’s livery barn and Ml Goe, knowing that there was a warrant out for gay, young Lothario’s arrest, passed the word to Acting Sheriff Stuart Craig, who at once arrested Mickey and lodged him in the county jail. Mrs. Craig was located at the Grand Hotel and in due time sin' too. was arrested and lodged in jail. It is understood that the young couple had been enjoying a vacation on the hanks of the classic Skunk.Mickey Pleads Guilty.In Justice Laird’s court this morning Mickey was brought up on the charge of deserting his wife and three children, Acting County Attorney James Hour ill an appeared for the state and the prisoner pleaded guilty. He was bound over to appear before the grand jury in bonds of $200. The penalty prescribed hv law for the crime is imprisonment in the peniten*Wife Goes Free.Mrs. Bertha Holland Craig appeared before Mayor Mills this morning on a charge of adultery preferred by herhusband, George Craig. After consultation between the parties concerned Attorney Hourihan announced that the prosecuting witness wished to withdraw the charge. This seemed to he the best way out of the trouble, the defendant agreeing to pay ail costs and leave town at once. She will go Jo her parents' home at Bussey, and in time this unsavory tangle may probably he unravelled. The mayor agreed to this course and the defendant was discharged.P. J.
