tents. __________Punishment of a Soldier for Robbing a Rebel.—A Washington correspondent of the 16th says Corporal James Rankin, of the Second Michigan regiment, charged with stealing one hundred and fifty dollars, while engaged in searching the premises of one Bull Frizzell, an avowed rebel, who is held as a prisoner at present by the Second Michigan regiment, was to-day convicted and sentenced to the penitentiary for three years.
