MURUER IN WIRT COUNTY.IJonas Sees, a well known farmer of Standing Stone, four miles east of Elizabeth, on Saturday afternoon at 4 o’clock shot and instantly killed Christopher Columbus Brinker aged 74 Jeal ously is said to have been the cause of the murder. Sees was brought here to the Wood county jail at an early hour Sunday!* morning by Sheriff C. H. Bum- j 2 gardner of Wirt county.According to reports received from Elizabeth yesterday, there had been trouble at the Sees home for the past few months This trouble is said to have resulted from frequent visits of Drinker. On several occasions, it is said, Sees and his wife quarreled about Drinker. but in theU past two weeks the trouble be \ came more acute, other neigh- i Dors having been called in to stop i the rows. 1It is said that Sees went to his! lt;homo Saturday afternoon and commenced quarreling with his; wife, about Drinker. Later Drinker was called to Secs home and was asked severe! questions by Sees relatives to Mrs. Sees’! conduct. Later Sees and Brin- M ker engaged in a quarrel and ' Drinker was ordered from the 1 house. At first, ho refused to go. * Sees then picked up his shot gun 1 and made toward Drinker who 1 who started out the door.
