Every livery team was engaged to carry armed men to Elkhorn grove, ami farmers coming to town on business were provided with arms and their teams headed for the scene of action. Wagons were also sent with provisions. Other towns turned out in force, and at dark last night fully 500 armed men must have been picketed around the grove.
