Hippies Riot Again In Haight AshburyRioting hippies surged through San Francisco’s Haight Ashbury district lor the second straight night last night, huriing firebombs, erecting a street barricade and breaking windows.They were dispersed after some three hours by police officers using clubs. No serious injuries were reported but there were 21 persons arrested including two women.Among those taken into custody was suspended San Francisco Police Sgt. Richard R.Bergess, 36, known to the hippies as Sergeant Sunshine. Bergess was arrested, police said, after he refused police orders to move, swore at a police officer and pushed against a police line attempting to clear the street.He was nooked for resisting arrest, failure to disperse and creating a disturbance. The others arrested were booked on similar charges —■ including resisting arrest for those who followed Sgt.
