Johnson of Blanco ccunfv for U. S. Senator, Philip A. Karen of Webb County for U. S. con-grcsman from the 15th District, Beauford H. Jester of Navarro County for governor, Allan Shivers of Jefferson county for lieutenant governor, J. E. Hickman of Eastland county chief justice of the suDreme court, James P. Hart of Travis county associate justice of supreme court (Place 2), W. St John j Garwood of Harris county asso- j ciate justice of suDreme court i (Place 3), Harry N. Graves of j Williamson 4 county judge of I court of criminal appeals, Ern- j est O. Thompson of Potter county railroad commissioner (regular term), William J. Murray, Jr., of Harris county railroad c o m missioner (unexpired term), George H. Sheppard of Nolan county comptroller public tceount, Bascom Giles of Travis county commissioner general land office, Jesse James of Travis county treasurer, J. E. McDonald of Travis county commissioner agriculture.All present unopposed state, district county and precinct officers will also be supported. No Webb county incumbents have any ^opposition. An intensive campaign will be waged dunns the week to arouse the interest of all Qualified voters In Webb county, of which there are 11,253, including poll taxes and exemptions, to go to the polls Saturday and vote. The 23 voting precincts of the county, for ‘which presiding judges and clerks of election have been appointed, will open at 8 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. next Saturday.
