UP — The ' second rebellion in Georgia’s ^ prison system in a week has ' ended with three convicts in isolation cells at the rock quarry prison for incorrigibles , and the other 108 back at work.Warden Hubert Smith said : the three ringleaders were j placed in isolation cells for 30 days.He said the five-hour re- ; fusal to work was quelled ' Thursday after state corrections director Jack Forrester issued this ultimatum:“The Department of Corrections represents the State of Georgia and society, and so long as I’m director, society will be protected—if we have to pack them in isolation like college.boys pack into telephone booths.*1All 111 of those involved iwere among* 1,000 white con-jvicts who staged a two-day hunger strike at the state's Imam prison at Reidsville July 9 and 10. That strike was broken up by shipping the rebels to other prisons.
