City police and sheriff's deputies yesterday reported a rash of thefts and burglaries occupied during the week.Mr. and Mrs. L. Richamn, 2307 Pershing, showed detectives an empty space in their apartment house parking lot and said someone took their 17-foot boat, with motor and accessories, and trailer, valued at ! $3,387.| The thieves apparently i hitched the boat trailer to their own car and drove away without being seen.I The Churchill East Apartments reported two of its fur-jnished but unoccupied units were cleaned out in quick succession. Taken from 4.362 Salmon was $600 in furniture, and from 280 Harmon, the loss was 1$764.The Day Dream Ranch, on Warm Springs Road in Paradise Valley, was hit for $326 cash when someone pried the locked (front door and got into the till.Don Jones, manager of Gem and Lapidary, 1.507 Las VegasBlvd. South, reported the loss of $8 300 in precious stones and 550 cash. S o m e of the stoneswere rare cut pieces of opal and jade and also included rubiesand sapphires.Tony Garcia, 3691 Las Vegas Blvd. South, listed a kitchen range, telephone, chrome towelrack, back yard swing set and barbecue grill missing from the premises. Thieves apparentlyentered by breaking out awindow.Dr. William Scheer, 824 E. Sahara, said someone broke into1 his office, but apparently tooknothing. Police speculated the bandit was after narcotics.
