The “ Rev/* Joshua Sykes, former pastor of the •Church of the Living God in this cjty until recently,/when his “temple” was destroyed by fire, was arraigned with three of his col-leagues, before Federal Judge Jeremiah Netterer in San Francisco today on charges of violating the espionage act.Sykes and hjs companions arrived in San Francisjjydast night from Denver v/here^tney were arrested on bench warrants. They are£ Philip Nel-.son, A. M'. Dean and, Walter Crosby. Sykes and liis companions spent the might-in jail.Today they wore admitted to bail. The bail of Nelson, Dean and Crosby was reduced TrdTn $3000 to $1000. The bail of Sykes was placed at $2500, Tomorrow the defendants are to appear to enter their pleas to the charges brought against them in the indict-input.
