He pleaded. guilty to a reduced charge in February, 1981, was taken to the state prison on March 1st, 1961, to serve a one to five-year term and was later paroled.Lyon County Commissioners were told by Mr. Demo this morning that he had authorized the sheriff to keep an around-the-clock guard on Carter at the hospital, until a doctor released him there for commitment tojail. When the man will be arraigned in County Court before Judge William J. Dick on the second-degree murder complaint depends on the hospital release.Funeral services for Mr, Ervin will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Roberts - Blue - Barnett Chapel. They will be conducted by Kenneth P. Davis. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.Hider Ervin, the son of Hoyle Bussell and Nora Clay Ervin, was born Feb. 12th, 1916, in Emporia.
