NEGRO(Continued from Page 1)incident is just one of several over the past several montha involvingcolored people and white youths.In conclusion Dr Keith sstd hi and several other Negro leader* had appealed to the sheriff* office for help and that they had been promised assistance Sheriff William Berryman said this morning hia office is conducting a complete investigation of thi Gilliam death and will put a stop to the mistreatment of Negroes in the coloied section by white youths.Negro companions of the fatally in ured woman said they saw theboys in the truck.They identilied the pick-up aa a hght blue 1953 Studebaker and sa.d there were three white boya in the cab and 'hree in the bed of the truckNo devcr.ption of the boya could be given by the bystanders but it was learned that they were all young and definitely were whitetvovs
