MURDER IN POTTER COUNTY. *Shot_to Death By Barfemler After Demsl-i*hlno Motel Fur/iiture.At Austin last Fridar'liight C. Don Bandfield was shot aDd killed by Arthur CordiAfcsr. It Is said that Band-£«ld had been drinking when be entered the barroom of the White House Hotel, and began to demolish the furniture. Gordiner irbo was 'rending bar at the time, waired until Handheld had smashed everything io sight, then followed him out. * • ....Bandfield entered a livery stable nearby, and as be turned to come out Gordiner «fi£gd the first shot, which tslssed Bandfield entirely. Gordtner then fired again, the ball taking effect •io-Bwdfield'a head. The third shot is the one that killed the man. It struck the breast bone a little above the heart and caused death instantly. It is said that Bandfield did not move after the firing began.Gordiner has been around I’otter county for some time and has the reputation of being a “had 0130.'' Bandfield was about Xi years of age and had resided In Austin for the past two years. He ie survived by wife and five children.
