FUNERAL OF RESERVEMAN MICHAEL J. BRENNANThe funeral of Reeerveman MichaelJ. Brennan of the Dudley-st Station,who met his death in the performanceof his duty-early on morning of theFourth when he walked into an open trap while searching the premises at 304 Warren st, Roxbury, which he found unlocked, was held this morning at his late home at 34 Langley road, Brighton.Escorted by a detail of 16 brother officers from the station at which he had spent his five months as a policeman, tne funeral cortege of officer Brennan left the family home soon after 8 o clock and proceeded to Our Lady ol the Presentation Church, where at 10 o clock ii high mass of requiem was celebrated t.V Rev Fr Edward Twigg of Norwood. There were delegations from Roxbury Council, Iv. of C., and the Boston Carmen’s Untfm. Policemen from the Dud-lev-st Station, headed by Cant Herbert W. Goodwin, Lieut Albert 1lt;. Lovell, Lieut Henry J, Walklns, Sergt William j. Flynn, Sergt Dennis Casey, Sergt Walter G. Horton and Sergt Harry Grace were present.The pallbearers were patrolman James C. Driscoll, patrolman Thomas F. Harrington, patrolman Patrick F. Moore, patrolman Michael Finnegan, reserve-man John M. Quale and rfeservemanJames J. Fallon.The police escort was headed by bergt John F. Lyons and composed of patrol-men CharlGR S. Gordan* D. R. Small* John J. Ryan. George A Hughes. George II. Davis, Benjamin J. Hallberg, Thomas C. Noonc, Eugene F. O’Neill, Arthur F. SchrlJ, roserveman Thomas J. Connolly, Joseph A. Hanson, Richard F. Morgan, Frederick J. Coleman, George A. Greene. Francis J. McNulty and Thomas F. Hurley. The detail was in charge of Capt Patrick F. King ol' Police Head-ijuarters.The body was taken to t Joseph s Cemetery, West Roxbury. for interment.
