CHARGED WITH WIFE DESER-, TIONOfficer Stevens today placed Louis Smith under arrest on a charge of wife desertion- He was given a preliminary hearing before Justice Morgan where he waived trial and was recognized to the circuit court.Upon his agreeing to pay his wife $4.00 a week for the support of their child Harley Policy was yesterday released upon bond by Justice John McCabe. He was charged withchild desertion.
