An Insane ManOn Monday last, D W. Dartt, of Moscow, was brought to this place by Prof. Parr and Mr. Morgan, for judgment, touching the qeation of insanity. An examination into his case before the Probate Judge divulged the fact that ho was a fit subject for the Lunatic Asylum, and an ordcr^was made for his transfer to St. Peter. It appears that a predisposition exists in the Dartt family to insanity, two brothers having died in the asylum, liut his ease was no doubt hnstoned by the burning of his dwelling last spring, mention of which was made at the time. About three months si nee, he began to show unmistakable signs of mental derangement, and geetning to realize tbe fact himself, would apply to his neighbors to prevent him from killing his wife and children. At other times he expressed fear that parties would kill him, declaring that they were following him for that purpose.Some weeks since he left home, and was arrested on the line of one tho railroads in Iowa, by parties who discovered his condition, and sent him back home, where lie arrived011 the 4th inst, It was then found by his wife and friends that it would be no longer safe to permit him to run at large, and the application for transfer to St. Peter was made out Prof. Farr left here with his charge on Tuesday.
