Psychic Aiding Search For Missihg Radford CoedRADFORD, Va. (AP) - A nationally known Iowa psychic has been brought to Virginia to help search for the body of a Radford University coed missing sincelast Monday.The psychic - Jerry Stewart of Des Moines — arrived midnight Saturday and began helping authorities in their search for the body of Gina Renee Hall, 18, whose blood-spattered car was found near the New River in the vicinity of Claytor Lake last Monday afternoon.The psychic came at the request of the missing woman’s family. She is the daughter of John R. Hall of Coeburn inWise County.“He’s solved murders, (found) drowning victims, things of that sort,” said Diana Hall, sister and college roommate of the missing woman.MS. HALL SAID authorities have seemed eager to work with the psychic, who was referred to her through a friend.“Before he ever got here, he described who he thinks did it,” she said, adding that Stewart worked with state police at several sites alone the river.“He’s already helped police uncover some very good evidence,” she said Sunday night. “I have very much faith inhim.” .The psychic, she added, has provided a detailed description of the location of her sister’s body for the family as well as authorities.As a result, the family began encouraging volunteer searchers to no longer just search in the river but to alsolook in other areas because the body may be partly buried.THE FAMILY RAISED the reward Friday from $1,000 to $2,000 for information leading to the whereabouts of the body.Authorities also brought from Fredericksburg dogs specially trained in locating corpses, Ms. Hall said. The dogs worked all day Sunday but did not locate the body. State police divers and local rescue workers have been searching the New River near Claytor Lake and its immediate area since last Monday.The woman’s family praised the efforts of the volunteers, who have worked long hours — often missing work.Ms. Hall said she last heard from her sister about 1 a.m. last Sunday when the woman phoned from a house on Claytor Lake to say she was with a man she had met at the Marriott Inn in Blacksburg.Ms. Hall said her sister “seemed verynervous, very scared.”\THE MAN WHO was with Gina Hall last Saturday night has come forward. He reportedly told police that she dropped him off at the house on Claytor Lake at 4 a.m. last Sunday.The girl’s car was found last Monday afternoon with its trunk open on Hazel Hollow Road near the New River.The girl’s father said blood was found in the car and in the Claytor Lake house.State police said they hope to have the case wrapped up within a few days, but would not elaborate.
