They were arrested here on April 0 by J. G. Wei liver and Matthew Crouch, narcotic agents from Seattle. Both defendants are under bonds of $1,000.Charge Counterfeiting True bills were also returned against James Harrington and Robert. L. Clementi of Billings on a charge of possessing counterfeit currency. An indictment named L. L. Creasy, 8. L. Sherman. Earl Tucker, Gloria Justice and Mary Helming defendants in an action charging them with passing counterfeit currency in Butte. A. N. Bechtel, special investigator for the department of justice, presented the government’s testimony to the jury.Max Baber of Butte was named as a defendant in an indictment charging him with forgery of an indorsement on a money order. The government's witness was E. A. Wohlfrom. There was on immigration case in the list of indictments returned. Leonard Archibald Matthews will he charged with unlawful entry into the United States from Canada and eluding examination and inspeetion by immigration officials.In This DistrictDefendants in the Helena district charged by indictment with violation of the national prohibition act are Thomas .1.
