Once 1 a week in New York, between l ar\d , 3 o'clock a. m., there is an auction. with men gathered around the auc-, tioneer bargaining for the best'woman and the houses where their earning capacities will he the great-,| est The white slave trust has a code 1 by means of which messages are flashed to its agents in different cities i when a white slave is trying to es-! cape. Sooner or later she is captured.As one would expect, the white1slave trust is bitterly opposed to woman suffrage.
