They rlanced the tear dance, and proceeded down the Mississippi about 4 miles, and encamped; the next e*ining they proceeded to attack the Fox village, situated at le-bakes mines* Soon after tbtfr departure, they discovered a parly of Foxes, on shore; they attacked them by surprise, and killed or wounderf eft hut three of the seventeen, of which number the parly consisted; of the Sioux, one was killed and three wounded, one of whom died next day.
