M.Dean, father of 14-yearold LouiseDear) of, this city. Clark, who was a member of the Church of the Living God, left this city when Louise Dean swore out a complaint against him. He was arrested in Salt Lake City on information supplied by the localpolice department.Clark declared that he was prepared to marry Louise Dean but her father raised objections saying that he would prosecute Clark to the extent of the law. The accused man was excommunicated fromt the Church of the Living God by “Prophet** Joshua Sykes, the leader of the cult whose headquarters is the Tabernacle of David on Derby street near Mil viastreet.Clark is at present in the county jail in Oakland awaiting trial before the superior court.
