Another Charged With Drunk DrivingWilliam Hermann Case 43rd This Year.William Hermann, living- near Ottumwa, waived to the Wapello county grand jury today when arraigned before Police Judge A. R. Swartz, charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was released under $500 bond.Arrested Friday by police, Hermann was the 43rd motorist to face drunken driving charges herethis year.William D. Nickell, Dallas Center. arrested several days ago for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, waived to the grand jury and is held under $500 bond.Albert J. Clark, Ottumwa, was fined $10 for driving a car without brakes, and Charles Evans, route 5, was fined $5 for havingno driver’s license.Ira Adams, Ottumwa, facing an intoxication charge, was sentenced to 45 days in jail on former charges.Harold Hanshaw', Ottumwa, was assessed a $10 suspended fine and Harry Thrasher, route 7, was fined $5 for intoxication. Fred Phillips, Chicago, and Walter Bandfiled, Ottumwa, charged with being drunk, and Edward Williams, Joliet, 111., charged with vagrancy, were sentenced to 30-day suspended terms.
