Francis Brogan is suffering with a gash over the left eye, an injury to his left arm and his body badly bruised, and a Mr. Shaffer sustained a broken nose and his face was skinned in an automobile accident last evening between 11 and 12 o’clock, near Jefferson.The two young men with two companions were returning from Spring Lake where they had observed the Fourth. The road was strange to them and as they turned a bend they got into loose gravel and the car tipped over. Mr. Brogan was thrown under the car.
