Tayor is charged in Dunn County with the shooting deaths of Timothy Hayden, 27, Menomonie, on about March 26, and Robert Williams, 38, Eau Claire, in July 1985. He is charged in Eau Claire County with the stabbing death of James Severson, 42, Eau Claire, in May 1986.Dunn County authorities also have charged Taylor with the theft of a firearm from Hayden’s house.Through his attorney, Taylor has entered pleas of not guilty and not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect to all of the charges except those filed Thursday in Washington County, where he hasn't entered a plea. He is being held in lieu of $500.(XX) bail on each of the two Dunn County charges and $200,000 bail on the Eau Claire County charge. Taylor is undergoing evaluations at the Mendota Mental Health Institute in Madison to determine his competency to stand trial in the Williams homicide and in the theft of a gun from Hayden’s house.Meanwhile, the Eau Claire County district attomey’s office announced Thursday that Taylor is scheduled to go to trial in Eau Claire Sept. 14 for fist-degree murder in Severson's death.Severson died of multiple stab wounds in May of 1986, according to police.A pretrial motions hearing isfor lulv 77 in the court
