J. E. Galens Will Be Located in Carroll After July 7Directors of the Carroll Nation-^ al Farm Loan association have elected J. E. Gatens of Denison, secretary-treasurer of their association.Mr. Gatens has been secretary-treasurer of the National Farm Loan association at Denison the past two years. His election by the Carroll board of directors is effective July 1.Active in the banking- business at Iowa City for 20 years, Gatens also served eight years with the state banking department before taking over his duties as secretary-treasurer of the associations at Denison.He will continue to act as secretary-treasurer of the associations at Denison but will move his residence to Carroll, The Carroll-I National Farm Loan association; office will be located at 210 West Fifth street and will be open for business July 7.Directors of the Carroll association are H. A. Neppl of Carroll, president; George W. Masching of Carroll, vice-president; Joseph Beyer of Arcadia, Fred Brandi of Maple River, and Lester P. Schleisman of Carroll.Nearly 450 farmers in Carroll county carrj’^ farm loans totaling S3.500.000 with the Carroll Nation Farm Loan association.
