The Port Republic correspondent of the Spirit says that on Sunday ot last week, near Lynnwood, Luther Randall, son of Mr. John Randall, shot and seriously wounded Newton Raines, son of Mr. Jacob Raines. It was a very narrow escape, as the bullet passed through the skin on top of bis bead, cutting its way to the bone. Betore another shot could be fired Raines knocked Randall down. lu the meantime John Randall ran up aud struck Raines, and the Randalls both joined in on Raines,rand report says he is a vciy badly used up jman. • He was attended by Dr. Stuajt1Yancey, of Port Republic
