IS MURDEREDAlbion, (UP)—A 58-year-oldBatavia veterans hospital employe was found murdered today in his wrecked automobile Just south of here in the town of Barre,Orleans County Sheriff Carl Klein dien st identldied the victitm as William Larson, a resident of Waterport and the father of 11 children, He said Larson had been kitled by a shotgun blast which shattered his left chest,The shooting apparently occurred shortly after midnight while Larson was en route home from work. Batavia hospital officials sold he had left there at midnight. Death was set about 12:30- a. m.A passing: motorist, . Melville Bort of Batavia; discovered Lar--#*iv^*tttiimobi]e. Bort -did- not, stop when he reached Batavia he notified state police.State .police found a trail of blood for half a mile along Quaker Hill road, indicating that Larsen had been shot while driving but continued or. until he died or lostconsciousness.The automobile had careened into a ditch. Its left side window, adjacent to the driver’s seat, had been shattered by the shotgun blast. ,Klelndlenst admitted there were few clues to work with. No motive had been uncovered, he said.
