He was carried to St. Francis sanitarium .Williams is employed a* a brake-man by the Missouri Pacific.Lincoln Sheriff Finds Jugs of Whiskey Buried in Garden Near Dubach ISpecial to the News-Star.RUSTON, La. v July 2.—Having received information that John Britt near Dubach, had concealed in his garden, jugs of whiskey, Sheriff! Thigpen and Deputy Frazier made a search, found the whiskey and arrested Britt.On the highway to Dubach the officers met one Edward Broughton in a car. On seeing the two officers, Broughton, evidently trouble! by a guilty conscience, thought they were after him and began to try to destroy a quart jar of liquor which he had with him.Suspicion having been aroused the officers found the liquor and arrested Broughton who plead 0ui!ty to charge of having liquor in his possession and was sentenced by Judge {Pearce to pay a fine of $200 and serve GO days. Britt was releasesdunder bond.On Monday SheriiT ~Thigpen and Deputy Frazier discovered a copper ; still, three barrels of mash and a small quantity of whiskey on the , place of Newton Barnett about 17 miles northwest of Ruston.
