FRANK TIIOMAS OF Ll\\ lt;ol \.TV MFKTS HKATIf.Was Putting IlL Team in His Ikmi Near Mendvillt* When 11«* Receivedtin* Heath Stroke.Frank Thomas. aged forty y* a is, a well known farmer of Linn countv.residing northwest of Meadvilie. was killed by lightning at his homo Wednesday afternoon,Thomas and his son, who had been working in the field, were compelled to quit work on account of a stormwhich came up \Wdm da afternoon. As the elder man v . - opening the barn door to put his horses in the stable a bolt of lightning struck him, causing death within a few minutes. His team was not injured.The young man, who with his team was within ten feet of his fa Auer, was slightly stunned but otherwise uninjured.He is survived by n widow and fourchildren.Funeral services were held from the home Thursday afternoon; burial was made in the Ogan cemetery.
