of State.Miss Ima C. Emery, of Washington, D. C., bus sued her brother-in-law, the Rev. Wilmot A. Carrington, for assaultand battery. * Carrington, who is a Presbyterian minister, married Miss Emery’s sister, and the couple left for Brazil, where a child was born and the mother died. Upon returning to this country Carrington took the child to his mother, refusing the Emerys charge of it. Miss Emery claims her sister wanted her to have the child, and that when she inot Carrington with it on the street and attempted to kiss it, ho knocked her down. Carrington denies the assault.
