Youth, 18, Convicted In SlayingRobert Marshall, 18. 816 15th Ave., Middletown, was found guilty of second degrae murder early Saturday by a jury in the ; fatal shooting cf a 19-year-old Middletown v’outh after a five-day trial before Judge Fred B. Cramer in Butler County Com-* mon Pleas Court.1 Deliberating nearly seven and a half hoars, the 12-man f jury found Marshall not guilty i of first degree murder as charg-* ed in the indictment but return-1 ed the second dcgrte verdict - which carries a mandatory life -sentence.Placed In JailJudge Cramer ordered the-defendant taken to the Butler i County jail. Marshall had been j free on $30,000 bond since a month after his arrest by Defective Harold May of the Buffer County sheriff’s office.I Judge Cramer delayed sen-5 fencing the defendant until Wed-. nesday The postponement was agreed upon with defense attorneys in order to give them* time to file a bond appeal with the Court of Appeals.1 Marshall was charged with , the shooting death June 29, 1969 of Wayne Randall Chester, 4312 Vannest Ave., at the Some j Place Cafe, S.
