V.. lt;:.c.n«it♦ii^y V..Chanas-Myslicki Nuptials Taken At East SelkirkSt. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, East Selkirk, was the scene of a double ring wedding ceremony on Dec. 16, 1967 at 4 p.m., when Adele Diane, youngest daughter of Mrs. M. My-slicki and the late Mr. Marion Myslicki was united in marriage to Paul Peter Chanas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dmytro Chanas of East Selkirk, Man. Rev. Father Luhowy officiated.The bride, given in marriage by her unde, Mr. Lenard Do-menski, chose a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over bridal satin. The fitted bodice of lace featured a sabrina neckline embroidered in iridescentcrystals. The full skirt of lace was in three tiers and edged with matching lace border. A crystal crown held her four tier scalloped nylon tulle veil. Her only jewellery was a diamond centered white silver cross necklace, a gift from the groom. She carried a bouquet of deep red beauty roses and lily of the valley intertwined with fern andmyrtle.Matron of honor was Mrs. Lita Ryan of Winnipeg andbridesmaid was Mrs. Kathy Mundt, sister of the groom. They wore identical floor lengthgowns of copen blue satin peauwith empire waists and attached trains. Their matching headpieces were blue crystal tiaras. They carried crescent shaped bouquets of wbite feathered mums intertwined with a blue ribbon to match their dresses.Attending the groom as best-man was Peter King of Selkirk and usher was Johnny Chanas, the groom’s brother.During the signing of the register, the organist played Ava Maria.Following the ceremony a quiet family supper was held at the young couple’s home in East Selkirk.The groom is a lab technician at the Manitoba Rolling Mills Plant in Selkirk.The bride is a 1963 graduate from the Manitoba School for Mental Diseases, School of Nursing, Portage la Prairie and was employed at the Misericor-dia Hospital, Winnipeg.The happy couple are now residing at East Selkirk, Man.
