When asked why he cutMrs. Webber’® throat he said he preferred not to talk a boat the horriblehe was in the hands of the law and awaited its verdict, acknowledginghis guilt, lie was tried in the Lynchburg court Thursday. He plead guilty. The trial lasted one hour and twenty minutes. Iliggin* botharn was found guilty and his punishment fixed at death, lie will hang Febuary 24th.
