The Fast Line consisted of two passenger coaches, one sleeper, baggage and express car, while the Accommodation consisted of three passenger coaches and a baggage car. The fntrine«na and firemen of both locomo-tives received slight scratches in jumping from their engines, but were not seriously injured. Conductor Mooney also received some scratches on the face. None of the pessengers were injured, and the coaches were but slightly dant-\aged about the platforms. It is said bypassengers, that at the ttr dent, the Accommodation■V v r ' . ■ ■■at a slow rate of speed, and that in a manner prevented more serious consequences.Those injured were cared for by Drs. Stanton and Hammond, of this city.One man on the Fast Lin as soon as the train stopped rushed to the baggage car and drew out his trunk coataining jewelry and other valuabless. Oneor two other pieces of baggagewere saved, but the balance was all consumed by the flames. About twenty trunks were burned, including the valuable wardrobe of Miss Ella Pierce, a favorite Western actress As soon as possible a transfer was m.MilH around the wreck, and the east*ISpassengers arrived at Pittsburgh about half past twelve o’clockHatnrday night. Tne engines were taken to Dennison yesterday, and t damaged cars brought to this city.RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ACCIDENT.Bo far a? can be learned at present the sole responsibility for the accident rests with the engineer of the eastward bound tntin who savs he forgot to ston at thestation and was only reminded of it when he saw the approaching headlight coming towards him. The conductor states that he pulled the bell rope three times for the train to stop, which if truerelieves him from any blame in the matter. Injustice to the company as well as to the new engiueers it should be stated that both locomotives were in charge of old engineers, and not men placed on the road in place of striking engineers.ANOTHER BUMP.About three hours before the accident related above, as a lreight tram coming east was engaged in switching some cars at Mingo another fr* ight coming the same direction ran into caboose, breaking it up pretty badly, and somewhat damaging a car of doors,moulding,c..intended for the new Court House atthis place.
