Information waa filed in the Floyd Circuit Court by Proaecn-tor* George B.‘ McIntyre, reciting both chargee. He waa arraigned in the Circuit Court, entered a plea of not guilty to each charge, and gave bond of $600 for the flrat*mentioned and $200 for tha Other for bia appearance to anawer at the March term, bia bon dam en being among the beat citisena of the county.Fenwick aaaerta that he acted entirely in self-defense in the shooting of James Hollowed, a neighbor, in Greenville township, iaat Tuesday night. At the time of the shooting, be aaya, Hollowed and hia two tone had broken tbe gate on bia farm and started across tbe place. He met them and expostulated with them for trespassing, when the qnarrel followed, in which Hollowed alerted toward him, brandishing a hoe and acting in a threatening manner. He waa armed irith a gun, and fearing, be said, injury at the hands of Hollowed and hia sons, he fited the weapon. Nearly all the charge took effect in Hollo well's lege, although several of tha abot struck him in the abdomen. His injuries are not considered dangerous unless blood poisoning develops.Tha two men bad been at fend for several years on account of a roadway through Fenwick's farm, which, he al* leges, was a private thoroughfare and not a public highway, as had bean contended by Hollowed and bia frienda.
