IIkwakd for Vasqukz.—On Satur day the Governor issued a proclauia-tion ottering a reward for Vasquez. It recites tiiat whereas on the 20th of August, 1873, several murders were committed near Hollister by Tibnreio j Vasquez and the gang by which lie is j surrounded, and although a large re- ! ward has been offered, lie has contin- j tied, with bis men, to commit crimes j and depredations in this Htate, therefore lie offers a reward of $3,000 for the i arrest of Tibnreio Vasquez, payable on j delivery of the highwayman alive to the Sheriff of Monterey county. If during an attempt to arrest him he' makes such resistance as to endanger the persons or lives of those arresting j him, and inconsequence thereof he is ; killed, then $2,000 will be paid to the j party killing him. Only one of said j rewards will he paid, if Vasquez benecessarily killed, $2,000 will be paid; ,it arrested and delivered over, $3,000.
