The goods he stole from MoOanley wero not of sufficient value tosend him to the penitentiary, but there Is u suspended sentence of a year in the pen hanging over him. Whisky and bad company have made Emmons a confirm* *d thief, lie once stole a goid watch from his brother in-law and on Another occasion f-SO from bis father, Jn both ofthese instaucrs the family kept him out of jail.
