continued from page IBminutes over there.”It’s a different feeling for the two, who have grown up playing recreation-league and AAU basketball, always on the sameteam. And since Darius, at 6-foot-4 and Josh, 6-3, both play in the post, they could be paired up in man-to-man defense guarding each other tonight as they were on Jan. 6.“It kind of is (strange) because we’ve been playing on the same team forever and now we’ve got to play against each other,” Darius said. “But it’s really kind of fun that we get to go out and play against each other. I think it’s going to be a competitive game.”.“I know what he can do and he knows what I can do,” Josh said, “so we’ve got an advantage on each other.”While both brothers they have extra insight in to their opponent tonight, Josh said his team lost out when Darius went toFike. j“If he was on our team, he would be starting, for sure,” Josh said. “He would have given us more length in the post when our center (Marcus Hicks) went down. He would have helped us out a lot.”The change of venues for Darius hasn’t changed the relationship he has with his brother.“We’re really close — that’s my big brother,” he said. “We play the game with each other. It’s something me and my wife are getting used to.” Tonight though, they won’t have to choose which team to go see, just which colors they’ll wear to the game. But Caroyln has that problem figured out.“My wife got a shirt made,” Garland said, “and one side has Fike on it and the other side has Southern Nash on it.“I don’t have one. I try to be kind of neutral, but I reckon I’ll have to get one.”
