When they arrived at Jessie’s, Mary Bullingt9n signed the warrant charging Long-with assault and battery, he added.All seven officers then went to Long's home, according to the attorney. Brown said the officers were at the house for 20 minutes, trying to get somebody up.”Then Brown testified Rader kicked the door open and Long opened fire, shooting the constable to death, Hyder said.Long's trial is set for May in Greene County Criminal Court.
