TO THE PEOPLEOF NORTH ARKANSASOkmulgee, Okla., Jan. 16, 1922.Thank God there are still 100 per cent Americans left in this land of liberty. I take my hat off to you. Shrely you are the descend ents of Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, Abe Lincoln and others of our champions of days that have past. 1 always loved your country, and God knows 1 worshipit now.You have the nerve and the guts to protect yourselves from the damnable hellions who are destroying the liberties of a free people. In my rounds I make” a town called Shawnee, in Oklahoma. Thesefiends, called railroad strikers, have in the past month DYNAMITED 5 Jiomes in Shawnee, and I can findrno evidence* of this state’s great champion of liberty, Jack Walton, offering one lone dime for apprehension of these erimnals. And the citizenship' sit supinely and lake it.1 hope your example will be like small pox—contagious. My belief is that our great body of common people are going to be aroused to the point, where the Harrison massacre will be reversed. You made a good beginning, but should not have stopped so soon.Again, 1 say may God grant His greatest blessings to you and your community; and I pray that yours may be the beginning of the end of the hellish tyrany now being inflicted oh our country.Respectfully Yours,E. G. THOMPSON.
