Hanse, 37, former San Mateo interior decorator, denied at his preliminary hearing today ihafc he had hilled the civilian army employe.“We had been drinking quite a bit,” Richmond admitted, explaining what occurred in Hanse’s apartment on December 27, and he became unnRv and obnoxious. He jumped me twice and I picked him up and threw him on the bed.“Then I tied him to keep him from howling and kicking around. He was ali right when I left him.”Hanse died of strangulation and his trussed-up body was found in the wall bed of his apartment by his landlady.Richmond surrendered to authorities in Fabens, Texas, after civilian and military police had conducted a countrywide search for him.He also is accused of stealing money and a wrist watch from Hanse and of driving Hanse’s car without his consentt
