CHARGE MEN WITH NEGLECT OF CATTLEWilliam, John and George Hurt-gen, Pewaukoe, were arrested Tuesday afternoon by Mrs. Florence George, county Humane officer on a charge of neglecting to milk their cows. Mrs. George nitegeil that the cows were made to suffer for want of ititlk-ing.The three men stated that they bad bee it to .Milwaukee on Mon dp y evening and were not able to arrive homo in time to do the early morning chores. Will lam stated that they had never failed to take the best of care of their stock. He said tlmt it was unfortunate that they were unable lo reach home in time to milk the cows at an early hour.William and John are living on the old Haugen farmstead and George owns a farm a short distance a way. Mrs. George has placed the slock inth«j hands of local help until the caseIs settled. All three pro tea ted when notified of this and said that they wished to name some one of their help,J ijave a Hen on your cattle”, said Mr a. George and will see that they are taken care of. You have nothing to lIo with them until the case Is settled/’“Who Is going to take us home.” today? “ naked George.“Going lo take yon home”! said Mrs. George. You are going to bo locked up.”The case will come before Judge James E. Thomas at 9:30 Wednesday morning.
