Tulley’s bondsmen tiled suit yesterday to be released from his bond, and in this way have just saved themselves from paying the entire shortage, which is estimated all the way from$20,000 to *50.000.Treasurer Tulley is a heavy cattle dealer in the firm of Hadley Tulley, at Plainfidid, a town south of this city, and the failure of his partner, Harlan Hadley. has embarrassed him. He has secretly borrowed money from the treasury to pay for his cattle and was unable to pay it back, on account of his partner’s failure. One of fcis bondsmen said that he though pocsibly Tulley might pay back the greater part of the money, but that it would take everything he had. He will be obliged to make an assignment.
