men of your lifer7Supposed Murder of John Nice.John Nice, a farmer about thirty-eight years of age and a eon of Elijah Nioe, of Democrat township, sold his interests near Wild Cat about two years ago and moved to White county where he bought a farm. He lived in White county about a year or perhaps a little longer when some smooth shark From Kentucky inveigled him into a trade on the plan of sohool boys “Sight Unseen.” Nice made the trade without any personal inspection of the property in Kentucky and relied solely on the representations of the man with whom he traded and a few others who professed to koow.something of the property in that part of the Blue Grass state. One of the considerations in the trade was $500 in cash which Mr. Nioe received to compensate him for the difference in vslne between the two farms but when the Hoosier farmer got down into Kentucky and hunted up the property described j bis deed he then began to wish )L had not done it. He wanted to trade back but there was no chance for that Soon however he left Kentucky an id went to Arkansas locating near Newport in that state. This ishi « wild, half civilized community and the last seen of Mr. Nice was ha left home for the purpose of a oow. It was supposed that some money with him, prob-m past of the $500 which he re-on his White county farm.
